Portland City Council weighs impact of Multnomah County library district: Portland City Hall roundup

Oregonian:

Portland's economist Josh Hartwood estimated this spring that the city could lose up to $8 million a year from its general fund if voters approve a library district. The district also would sap money from Portland Children's Levy. The $10-million-a-year levy could lose $1 million, city officials have estimated.
