Smith sets money, donor-type limits

Portland Business Journal:

Smith, who’d griped July 23 that general election opponent Charlie Hales had jumped the gun on joint campaign finance limits, also said he’ll accept no donation higher than $1,000 and pledged to keep his general election spending limit at $500,000.

“This general election should not cost over $1 million,” Smith wrote in a message on his website. http://jeffersonsmith.com/our-people-powered-plan/…
