Cascade Locks mayor supports Nestle bottling plant
Cascade Locks Mayor Lance Masters announced last week his support of a $50 million proposal to build a Nestle Corp. bottling plant in the town.
As Sustainable Business Oregon reports, the proposal, which would draw a combined 100 million gallons of water annually from both the state-controlled Oxbow Springs and Cascade Locks-controlled ground water, has continued to raise protest from multiple environmental groups and outdoor enthusiasts.
