Charlie Hales lands carpenters' endorsement

Charlie Hales has landed a key union endorsement in his bid to become Portland’s next mayor.

The Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters announced Tuesday it would back Hales, who’s running against Jefferson Smith for the seat in the November general election.
