PBA board backs Hales for mayor

Portland Business Journal:

Charlie Hales has earned the Portland Business Alliance board’s endorsement in the Portland mayoral race.

Hales earned the endorsement over Jefferson Smith. Smith lost key backers Thursday when Portland’s police and fire unions opted to pull their endorsement of him. Smith is facing questions over a 1993 incident that led to assault charges against him.
