Over 14 percent of Ore. general election ballots returned so far

Over 14 percent of registered Oregon voters have returned their mail-in ballots for the Nov. 6 general election, according to the latest state numbers.The Oregon Secretary of State’s Office reports that 14.4 percent of the over 2.2 million registered voters had turned in their ballots as of Thursday. In regards to party affiliation, approximately 16.4 percent of registered Democratic voters had turned in their ballots, 15.8 percent Republican and 9.5 percent of nonaffiliated. In the Portland metro area, about 13.4 percent of Multnomah County voters had turned in their ballots, 13.7 percent in Washington County and 15.7 percent in Clackamas County. -- KOIN Local 6 staff
