Wyden: Oregon Business Plan has 'far exceeded' expectations

It rained on Dec. 9, 2002. Not just a little. A lot. The temperature didn't get above 50 degrees.

The dreary weather served as the backdrop for the first Oregon Leadership Summit, a daylong gathering that presents and discusses the Oregon Business Plan.

Despite the gloomy beginnings, 10 years later the Summit has developed the Midas touch. Hundreds of Oregon business, political and civic leaders now flock to the event, which is held at the Oregon Convention Center.
