Health care's most influential: Kitzhaber outranks Obama
Oregon has received lots of attention for its efforts to implement the Affordable Care Act. But a ranking of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare lifts Oregon to surprising heights.
According to the ranking compiled by ModernHealthcare.com, Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber is the No. 2 most influential person in health care, behind U.S. Human Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and ahead of No. 3 President Barack Obama.
Kitzhaber was the only Oregon person on the list.
