Blumenauer: Bill would save Highway Trust Fund, Oregon projects
Rep. Earl Blumenauer said Monday he plans to expend much of his energy through the balance of 2014 pushing for a transportation infrastructure bill that, he says, has pronounced, if not public, bipartisan support.
Blumenauer actually introduced The Update Act, or H.R. 3636, last December. The measure calls for various rethinkings of the gas tax as a way to fund highway and other transportation improvement measures.
