Jeff Merkley calls out John McCain

John McCain was in Oregon campaigning with Monica Wehby, because who better to help a flailing and desperate Republican campaign in Oregon than McCain, who lost the state by 40-56 in 2008, am I right? Anyway, while on a quick tour with Wehby of Gresham, Oregon City, and Salem, McCain made some pretty sharp attacks against our beloved senator. Arizona Sen. John McCain, campaigning in Gresham for Republican Monica Wehby, charged Thursday that Sen. Jeff Merkley shares some of the blame for the rise of  Islamic radical terrorists in Iraq and Syria. McCain repeatedly denounced President Barack Obama's policies in the Middle East, saying he was wrong to withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq -- which the former GOP presidential candidate said helped lead to the big military successes of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
