Brown calls governor's summons 'bizarre,' says she's ready if needed

Oregon's Secretary of State said she returned to Oregon from Washington, D.C. and immediately landed in a "strange" meeting with Gov. John Kitzhaber.

Kate Brown, in a statement issued Thursday morning, painted the events of the last 48 hours as "bizarre and unprecedented." She also said she's "ready" should Kitzhaber, as was expected on Wednesday, resigns.

She did, say, in the statement, though, that Kitzhaber nonetheless talked about a "transition."
