Oregon lawmakers set to put minimum wage boost on the table

While specifics weren't forthcoming as of last night, Oregon's Democrats apparently want to raise the state's minimum wage.

Rep. Tina Kotek, a Portland Democrat who's the Speaker of the House, revealed she'll present a proposal before the Oregon legislative session ends. Oregon's odd-year legislative sessions typically end around July 1.

The measure didn't give any dollar figures. The Oregonian reported it would incrementally rise over time, then give local governments autonomy to raise their own.
