As Oregon prepares for legal pot, medical users get huge win
A Portland U.S. Representative is applauding a federal decision to eliminate a review step that subjected medical marijuana research to stricter standards than other substances perceived to be far stronger.
The Department of Health and Human Services said it would eliminate its Public Health Service Review Committee for non-federally funded medical marijuana research. The review committee wasn't deemed necessary for other Schedule I substances.
