For contractors, $300M up for grabs as Oregon lawmakers approve seismic work
Oregon lawmakers will send $300 million in bond funding toward a variety of sources to help ensure more public buildings are seismically updated.
The funds are part of the Legislature’s $1.2 billion capital construction budget. Sen. Peter Courtney, a Salem Democrat who's the Senate's president, said the allotment is more than lawmakers have ever put toward such projects.
