Brown signs final batch of bills, closes the tumultuous 2015 Oregon session chapter
Oregon's governor has inked the final 43 bills of the state's 2015 legislative session.
In so doing, Gov. Kate Brown effectively closed the door on a session marked by the resignation of Gov. John Kitzhaber in February, Brown's own inauguration, a back-and-forth debate on a clean energy bill and landmark measures establishing strong paid sick leave options and a state-run investment program.
A total of 846 bills were passed this year.
