Treasurer Wheeler proposes economic development overhaul

Oregon Treasurer Ted Wheeler on Monday unveiled a proposal to consolidate the state’s economic development efforts under one roof.

Currently, several state agencies dole out economic development dollars, such as the Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon Department of Agriculture, Oregon Department of Energy and the Oregon State Treasury.
