Oregon mulls "captive insurance" bill

Oregon lawmakers are considering a measure that would allow more companies to start insurance sidelines that cover their own employees.

The “captive insurance” bill passed through the Oregon Senate’s Committee on Business, Transportation and Economic Development unanimously and could hit the full Senate floor for a vote this week.
