Kitzhaber adds Independent Party nomination to his ballot line; Independents also choose Bruun over Schrader
Democrat John Kitzhaber was the big winner in the Independent Party of Oregon's first primary election. But Independents also went for two Republican candidates in congressional races. Under a new state law, candidates are allowed to list up to three party nominations next to their name on the ballot.
