Sorenson and Stahl in Lane Commissioner face-off

EUGENE, Ore. - It's a forest activist versus a four term veteran for a seat on the Lane County Commission.Pete Sorenson and Andy Stahl have until May 15 to sway last minute voters. Stahl said it's time for a change on the county board. Pete Sorenson is asking voters for a fifth term to the courthouse.Both say they have the best answer to fix the county's financial free-fall.Andy Stahl's old Eugene street map is getting a little worn.  "Then I took my little pen and I said--okay, I've done those streets," explained Stahl, showing reporter Tom Adams pen lines tracing the many streets he has walked in the campaign.Pete Sorenson may need new shoes, after he told KVAL, "We've been door-belling since January 2011."  It's a sprint to the finish.Forest politics have split these two liberal candidates. Conservationist Stahl said a bill from Congressman Peter DeFazio is the best shot to help the bleeding county budget.The bill
