Be happy and Blue!

Mari Margil

Greetings!

Living in a swing state this year is proving to be exciting and busy!

As I write this, Oregon is preparing to host Mr. Kerry and W. It's the middle of August - the dog days of summer - and things are still heating up!

I send greetings to friends and family in deep Blue states to the East who feel ignored and lonely. You can be happy and Blue, I tell them, just watch all of the ads on the internet.

Best wishes to all of you out there. Be happy and Blue!

You know what makes me even a little more excited about Kerry?

This: 100 Days to Change America, available here: https://www.kerrykit.com/materials.html

And this is all new for me. I wasn't wild about Kerry at all (just wild about ousting Bush) until I read this position paper. And I have no idea why he's not trying to rouse more progressive, would-be-Nader-voters with this sort of thing...check it out.

Excited about Kerry? Can those two words be used in the same sentence? And what's with all this "Blue and Happy" business from Ms Margil (Ms Margil...how are you? You are a lovely vision of auburn and sienna)

I couldn't cross the Hawthorne Bridge today due to the rally featuring Jon Bon Jovi and some other white celebrities who do nothing in raising the excitement level for Kerry---I don't even think high quality peruvian cocaine and oxygen could do that--I'm from Massachusetts (where's NOMAR!) and Mr Excitement has bored us to death for eons.

If only we could nominate someone with vision and integrity---the thought of Kerry as exciting makes me blue...like a Chet Baker tune and bad whiskey

    Mr. Sanchez:

I'm sorry you didn't get the memo. Nomar wasn't hitting it out of the park so much and the green monster gave him up to Chicago, where you can now find him playing for the Cubs (AND hitting it out of the park).

Again, sorry we didn't forward the memo (or the sports page) to you.
