Back in '96, when I was on the Darlene Hooley team that unseated GOP incumbent Jim Bunn (hoo! hoo!) we had a little sign on the wall in the closing days. It was the "poem" that defined our existence - the reason we put in the 18 hour days for months at a time.
So, if you're working on a campaign, this is for you. If you're not, it's really for you. Get out there and get to work.
