Brian Clem: His First Day
The Oregonian seems to be getting into the broadcast news business. Over on their blog, they've been posting lots of political videos.
Here's one from yesterday - with Rep. Brian Clem talking about joining the legislature.
Discuss.
Update: Thanks to one of our commenters, we'll point you to a great day-in-the-life story about Representative Clem's first day (along with some rookie moments) in the Statesman-Journal.

The Statesman had a longer and kind of funny article on the front page of Local today about Brian's first day.

I liked that video a lot. Kind of cool to see them talking on-camera when they're not addressing the press. That's the kind of look at a legislator that you don't get unless you are in Salem and talking to them in person.

Well, didn't Bill Johnstone, president of the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, say that if we wanted political news we should go elsewhere? Namely the internet? Maybe The Oregonian saw filling the need to be a way to pick up more readers. If they can get readership up online, they can make more money off their ads online.
