46,700 Oregonians may learn 3.3 million reasons why US House unemployment bill is wrong

New data from the U.S. Department of Labor shows that 46,700 Oregonians will loose federal unemployment insurance benefits under the U.S. House-passed bill.

And even the end of unemployment is not necessarily the 'light at the end of the tunnel'. My best lifelong friend (age 58) ended his 2 years of unemployment by moving from a mid level 75K banking position to becoming a junior assistant wine adviser at a grocery store at minimum wage. And if that was not bad enough, apparently 23 something 'senior wine advisers' making 12.50 an hour take great pleasure in taking out their generation X,Y,Z or DD angst by dumping on my poor $10.00 per hour friend.
So unemployment sucks, but I am not entirely clear that employment is ALWAYS better than unemployment.
