Even though, I am from rural Oregon, I blogged for people to get the vote out for Kitzhaber knowing Umatilla Counties vote was not large enough to count for the win; and further knowing the majority of this county are Repubicans. It pays to have friends on facebook, myspace, and twitter; from all over Oregon, and all over the World. I am so pleased to feel the time I put into blogging for Kitz paid off. You just have to admit that urban Oregon compared to rural Oregon is way more progressive, openminded, and aware that it's experience that counts, not a sports status. Eastern Oregon Republicans fear more taxes I think. Eastern Oregon Independents as though I am fear starving to death. We need Kitzhaber's experience in Government and his compassion as a doctor to lead us out of this slump in Oregon. You cannot just lead the rich, you have to lead the poor, the unemployed who were doing better a year ago, and we women. I think John Kitzhaber will make it fair for all Oregonians and as he said in his acceptance speech: it's not the Democrats, the Republicans, or the Independents that this race was about, it was about flat out OREGONIANS. The majority voted and the majority picked Kitzhaber. Thank you, Oregonians, from the bottom of my old nursie heart in Helix. Sincerely, Candy
