BlueOregon Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Here at BlueOregon, we're building a community. Any community is built on trust, and trust is based on authentic identity, transparency, and respect for varied opinions.

Privacy Policy

BlueOregon is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and the information you share with us.

Use of Information

We use information collected from you for two general purposes: to authenticate your identity; to associate your identity with your comments on the site; and to personalize your online experience.

Facebook Authentication

Here at BlueOregon, we use Facebook to authenticate the identity of people who wish to comment on our site. When you authorize the BlueOregon Facebook app, we verify that your account is more than two weeks old and has more than 10 friends. If you post a comment on BlueOregon, your name and profile photo will be shared by Facebook and displayed on our site. The interaction between Facebook and BlueOregon is entirely for authentication and display of identity. When posting a comment, you may also choose to share it on your Facebook Timeline as a status update.

If you choose not to authenticate via Facebook, you may continue to read BlueOregon, but you will not be able to comment on BlueOregon.
