She Doesn't Care

We are in the midst of one of the most crucial races for President in our lifetime. Yet, she doesn't care.

We are watching one of the most fascinating races for Mayor Portland has witnessed in decades. Still, she doesn't care.

We struggle every day to pay our bills, raise our kids’ right and hopefully make the world a better place. But to her even that does not matter, because she still doesn't care.

If you stare at her long enough she allows an understanding of how fleeting and insignificant our lives are as the immutable forces of nature march on through the eons. In her own way, she warns us to live life to it's fullest, for it will begin and be over before she finishes a cycle of slumber and eruption.

Come to think of it, maybe she does care.

Your comment reminds me of that great riff George Carlin does on Save the Earth, pointing out the earth doesn't need saving, that it will go on spinning in space long after it's belched the bothersome human species off.

The rumblings at Mt. St. Helen's couldn't have come at a better time for me. Just as I was dispairing about the upcoming Presidential elction, the mountain reminds me that even the damage George W does will be buried some day. I still keep canvassing for Kerry though.

And I care much less about Mt. St. Helens than she does about the future of our nation.

She bubbles, belches and spews today Councilman, emitting plume (how quickly this word enters our vocab.)as we await the blast of "magma" that we all so desire--And she has attracted the interest of some of her sister Cascade collective, with the Hood moaning a little yesterday.

I like that she does not discriminate or have an opinion on WMD or health care. There is a possibility she may be awaiting the VP debates tonight and will only blow if Cheney devours Edwards--

Remember, Poland is the cog of our coalition
