Debate Watch Parties

Well, we've had a few folks ask about Presidential Debate watching parties.

For starters, the crew at Progressive Happy Hour has organized one tonight at Blitz Bar, 110 NW 10th. We'll be in the downstairs bar taking over the whole place. (To get on the PHH cool-kids email list, so you never miss a happy-hour, sign up here.)

Over at PDX Pipeline, they've done an admirable job of pulling together a list of debate watching parties across Portland - including the official coordinated campaign party, parties at big-screen movie theaters, etc.

But wherever you are, be sure to print out Presidential Debate bingo/drinking-game cards for you and your friends. I've done a comprehensive review of all the options out there (and there sure do seem to be a lot of people gearing up for tonight), but I'd say the best set of cards comes from designer/illustrator Bob Staake.

Download and print out the full set of eight here - part 1, part 2.

Over sight team selected for the EES Act ? May we please have some of our nations nobel prize economist and no one that may be viewed as part of those associated "asleep at the switch ?" Citigroup = Wachovia =Largest share holder 7.5 billion Abu Dhabi from Middle East=oil ? If Nancy Pelosi sees something she's concerned with and they need to review then we commend her objectivity in revisions !House objected the Bill ! John Boehner's staff is on top of it and you can actually get his personal answer machine and leave a message. That's impressive ! McCain's message machine line is full and you get an answer machine that gives you an e-mail. Obama's team is on the line and answers and so are all others !Let's remember the young Americans working hard answering those telephones in DC ! Way to go ! Nobody likes the 700 billion dollar bailout but they're working hard on it! Please keep your eye on the over sight team selected and are they associated as those that may be considered "asleep at the switch ?"
