A remarkable mature speech to a nation needing maturity and understanding. A number of commentators have said it was his best speech as a political leader.

A very politically correct speech. Not a mention of the killer, the terrorist in our midst, the radical Islamist, who screamed “Allah Akbar” while pulling the trigger.
Not a word of reproach to the Muslim leaders in this country who fail to condemn actions like this.
I fear BHO has no real comprehension of the enemies America faces, or how to deal with them.

Just like so many "leaders" in the United States who failed to condemn Bush's illegal war on Iraq and oppose Obama's war in Afghanistan.
On the other hand there are many people of the Jewish faith and of its heritage who oppose our complicity in the crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel's right wing against the Palestinian people. Unlike the vast majority of people in Congress who show contempt for international law by covering up these crimes.

Not to interrupt you from turning the Ft. Hood incident into an attack on President Obama, but he did say the following paragraph:
"It may be hard to comprehend the twisted logic that led to this tragedy. But this much we do know -- no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor. For what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice -- in this world, and the next."
He didn't mention the shooter by name, but that's rarely done as the family members certainly don't want to hear it right now.

this is not the time or place to speak out to any other world leaders. this is a time to comfort the families and friends of the dead, who are suffering. this service is for them, and the Army family. there's plenty of time to talk to world leaders about the political fallout from this tragic event.

I wonder how a just and loving god looks upon the twisted act of droning innocent civilians in Pakistan, including children. Will that killer be met with the same type of justice?

Seriously, it's jumped the shark. Paki military are now requesting more drones! That alone is all you need to know to know how screwed the policy is.
