Hales wins Portland mayoral primary

Portland Business Journal:

Charlie Hales has been projected as the winner in Portland’s mayoral primary, with around 39 percent of the vote. Jefferson Smith was running second at 28 percent, with Eileen Brady third at 24 percent.

The top two vote getters move onto November’s general election unless one gets more than 50 percent of the vote, which is statistically impossible at this point.
