Portland tech execs talk industry needs with Wyden, Cantwell
Portland-area tech leaders warned during a Friday roundtable that while it’s getting easier to find capital, the area’s reputation as a source for talented app designers has yet to solidify.
“It’s tough to convince investors in the Bay Area that they can find talent here,” said Dave Howell, CEO of Portland-based Avatron Software, a $1 million-plus company that makes iPhone apps.
