Nobody disputes that too many folks in Portland have no place to sleep, no place to call home. And protesters sleeping on Portland sidewalks have raised the profile of the problem. But in asking for things the city can't immediately deliver, their cause is stalled. It's time to end the protest and for protest leaders to join others who legitimately push hard for reforms to help end homelessness.
