Idaho or bust? I don't think so
Idaho, it turns out, has a website that implores out-of-state companies to "just make the shift," and offers the following argument: "Idaho State government believes that the best way to support business is to simply get out of the way. Our stable and predictable business environment keeps the cost of doing business much lower than our neighbors."
So, I called Gov. Otter's office Wednesday and was directed to Don Dietrich, the director of Idaho's Department of Commerce.
And I asked Dietrich if, indeed, 97 Oregon companies were moving to Idaho owing to their owners' unhappiness over Measures 66 and 67?
Uh, no.
