Smith sets money, donor-type limits
Portland mayoral hopeful Jefferson Smith said he plans to keep his average campaign donation less than $200 “going forward.”
Smith, who’d griped July 23 that general election opponent Charlie Hales had jumped the gun on joint campaign finance limits, also said he’ll accept no donation higher than $1,000 and pledged to keep his general election spending limit at $500,000.
“This general election should not cost over $1 million,” Smith wrote in a message on his website. http://jeffersonsmith.com/our-people-powered-plan/…
