Kitzhaber sets fall Asian trade mission
Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber has assembled a team for a 10-day trade mission to Asia in October.
Kitzhaber and private sector leaders will visit Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan.
Oregon’s 2012 exports through May were off by nearly 6 percent (subscription required). China, which had been Oregon’s leading international trade partner since 2009, has now dropped behind Canada in terms of receiving state-produced goods.
