Obama gives boost to Columbia River Crossing project
President Barack Obama on Saturday said he has placed the $3.5 billion Columbia River Crossing project on his list of transportation projects to be expedited under an initiative titled "We Can't Wait."
In a news release, Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber said the designation highlights the national significance of the project, and promises to help speed-up the process of granting federal permits for the project.
