Opponents to launch signature-gathering initiative to block fluoridated water in Portland

Oregonian:

Clean Water Portland would have up to almost two years to gather 29,786 signatures for either the 2014 primary or general elections. Although the City Council will vote in favor of fluoride Sept. 12, the Portland Water Bureau has said it will take three to five years before a fluoride facility could be up and running.
