Kulongoski backs Hales in PDX mayor's race
Portland mayoral candidate Charlie Hales has landed an endorsement from one of Oregon’s biggest political players.
Former Gov. Ted Kulongoski has backed Hales, a former city commissioner, in November’s general election. Hales is running against State Rep. Jefferson Smith, a Democrat who serves East Portland.
