Governor offers lukewarm support for co-chairs budget
Reactions rolled in all afternoon on Monday after budget committee co-chairs Sen. Richard Devlin, D-Tualatin, and Rep. Peter Buckley, D-Ashland, presented their budget proposal. Groups ranged from angry to excited by what the duo put forth, which included $6.75 billion for education but also $455 million in cuts to the Public Employees Retirement System and $275 million in changes to tax expenditures.
