The good folks who produce Portlandia have an eye on the prize, and they’ve enlisted William Jefferson Clinton’s famously combative campaign strategist to make it happen.

IFC hired none other than James Carville as the face of its “Put an Emmy on it” campaign.

The nakedly ambitious campaign asks members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to award no fewer than 15 Emmys to the show that harpoons Portland culture.
