House transportation committee OKs I-5 bridge bill, Ways and Means up next
A measure backing an Oregon-only effort to build a new I-5 bridge across the Columbia River has cleared its first hurdle.
The House Transportation and Economic Development Committee passed the measure, a first step toward getting a full vote on the Columbia River Crossing.
The committee moved House Bill 4113 to the Ways and Means Committee. The 6-4 vote pushes the Oregon-led CRC project forward after Washington lawmakers declined to provide funding last year.
