Oregon AG will not defend same-sex marriage challenges
Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum announced Thursday that her office will not defend the state's ban on same-sex marriage.
Four couples are suing the state asking a federal court to find that Oregon's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage violates "the right of equality enshrined in the United States Constitution," wrote Rosenblum, who, along with Gov. John Kitzhaber, is named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
