With mayor's blessing, Vancouver's first marijuana store to open this week

The first two marijuana stores under Washington's auspices are set to open just across the Oregon state line.

As the Columbian newspaper reports, Main Street Marijuana, at 2314 Main St. in Vancouver, is looking to throw open its doors Wednesday morning. The outlet is waiting until the state sets up its marijuana oversight systems.

The paper said store operators have tapped Mayor Tim Leavitt to cut the ribbon as it begins operations.
