XRAY.FM Starts Citywide Broadcast on Monday
If you happened to scan through your car's FM radio dial this morning, you heard a familiar voice: Carl Wolfson is back on the air in downtown Portland.
Nonprofit radio startup XRAY.FM officially begins broadcasting on a second signal this Monday, Sept. 22, quadrupling its reach across the city. But clever listeners, including you, can hear the station sooner: XRAY began testing the 90-watt translator today.
The rock-and-talk station, which returns progressive pundits Wolfson and Thom Hartmann to the Portland airwaves, will be heard on both 91.1 FM and a more powerful signal, 107.1 FM.
