Portland's Ferguson response: Peaceful protests, mayor pledges safety

While protests rocked the city of Ferguson, Missouri, Monday night, demonstrations over Michael Brown case in Portland were peaceful.

Officials throughout the country had prepared for dissent after a St. Louis County jury found no probable cause to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. Wilson shot an unarmed Brown six times, killing him in August. Wilson fired 12 rounds at Brown, who was accused of stealing cigarellos from a convenience store.
