Oregon hailed for making low-carbon fuels the law

The chorus of Clean Fuels supporters weighed in loudly, clearly and happily Thursday after Gov. Kate Brown signed their favored bill into law.

The bill, technically the Low Carbon Fuels Program, lifts a 2015 sunset on a program first adopted in 2009 to reduce the carbon intensity of transportation fuels — and by extension trim the state's greenhouse gas emissions.
