Wyden, Merkley call for Internet user protections
Oregon's two U.S. senators want the Federal Communications Commission to add rules they believe would protect consumers who use broadband.
The request, for which Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley signed a letter with seven other senators, comes in light of the recent Open Internet rules, which took effect June 15.
The leaders asked the FCC to:
Adopt a definition what constitutes proprietary network information, including whether it should include data on consumers’ Internet usage and broadband service…
