Oregon's senators want corporations to disclose political gifts

Oregon's two U.S. senators joined 42 of their peers in calling on the Securities and Exchange Commission for tighter transparency rules.

Essentially, Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden want public companies to disclose political spending to their shareholders. The call comes five years after the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision.
