Public health campaign to increase gun safety sought by Ron Wyden and 19 colleagues
Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden and 19 other Democratic senators on Wednesday asked the government's chief investigative agency to study how to mount a public-health campaign aimed at improving gun safety.
The senators said in a letter to the Government Accountability Office that the campaign could be modeled on long-standing efforts to reduce smoking and drunk driving.
