The reason to vote 'yes' on Measure 97 is clear (Opinion)

Oregon is 50th in the nation for corporate taxation. This has to change. Measure 97 requires big corporations to pay their fair share. Giant multinational corporations pay lower taxes here than anywhere else in the nation. Measure 97 only targets these big corporations, not small businesses or consumers.

The measure changes one line in the existing tax code: It ensures that the largest companies (C corporations that make more than $25 million in Oregon sales) pay proportionally more in taxes in order to contribute to Oregon's schools and other essential services.
