Hales seeks mayoral post, Deckert demurs

Former Portland City Commissioner Charlie Hales will run for mayor in 2012, while former state Sen. Ryan Deckert has ruled out a run for U.S. Rep. David Wu's seat. Hales told the Oregonian he���d run in 2012. He served for 10 years on the council before resigning in 2002 to join the private sector.
